Spatial arrangement of storage of medicines.

To get the ease of storage, preparation, search and surveillance of drugs, then the necessary arrangementswith good storage space.

Factors to consider in designing the warehouse are as follows:
 A. Ease of movement
      For ease of movement, the warehouse needs to be organized as follows:

1.   Warehouse system using a floor do not use the barrier because it would limit the room arrangement. If the insulation is used, note the position of walls and doors for ease of movement
2. Under the direction of current revenues and expenditures of drugs, storage space can be arranged by the system:

B. Good air circulation

       One important factor in designing a warehouse is the presence of sufficient air circulation inside the warehouse space. Good circulation will maximize the lifetime of the drug as well as useful in extending and improving working conditions. Ideally there is air conditioning in the warehouse, but the cost will be expensive for large warehouse space.

       Another alternative is to use the fan. If the fan is not enough it is necessary ventilation through the roof.

C. Pallet rack
       Proper shelf placement and use of the pallet will be able to improve air circulation and the movement of drug stocks.
       The use of pallets provide benefits:

• circulation of air from the bottom and flood protection
• increase the efficiency of the handling of stock
• can accommodate more drug
• pallet is cheaper than the rack

D. Special storage conditions.

• The vaccine requires a "Cold Chain" special and should be protected from the possibility of breaking the flow of electricity.

• Narcotics and dangerous materials must be stored in special cabinets and are always locked.

• flammable substances such as alcohol and ether should be stored in a special room, should be stored in a special building separate from the main warehouse.

E. Fire prevention

       To avoid the buildup of materials that are flammable such as boxes, cartoons and others. Fire extinguishers should be installed in an easily accessible place.
