We have a few dollies at our office that we use for moving our things around. Since the office is small, we don't need much in the way of materials handling equipment. We may eventually have need of a forklift or two, if we grow as projected. Thiago | http://www.tristatesurplus.com

I was moving a couch on our dolly last night and it fell on me. I need to get a hand truck I think because every time this happens. Last time I was moving things it was a cabinet, thankfully I haven't broken any bones.

Material handling equipment eliminates unproductive handling of materials like backtracking, re-handling etc. It reduces idle machine capacity thus ensuring better turnover of investment. Without material handling equipment will eventually lead to poor material handling.
